Esther Wojcicki is an internationally known educator, founder of the largest scholastic media program in the US; the 2002 California Teacher of the Year; a 2009 MacArthur Foundation Research Fellow; given the 2011 Columbia University Charles O’Malley Award; was Chair of Creative Commons, Chair of PBS Learning Matters, and on the Board of the Freedom Forum, the Newseum, the Alliance for Excellent Education, and more.. She advises multiple ed tech startups including EdSurge.. She founded the Journalistic Learning Initiative at the University of Oregon and holds three honorary doctorates. She is the author of Moonshots in Education (2014) and How to Raise Successful People (May, 2019). She is the Founder and CEO of GlobalMoonshots.org, and Co-Founder of http://Tract.app, a revolutionary peer-to-peer learning program for kids.
