Activ Technology will be launching the Smart Tower, an energy-efficient street lamp and social beacon, at ConnecTechAsia. What inspired the product?
In our mission to transform businesses and create opportunities for our Clients in APAC, we have paved the way for technological advancement by building crucial infrastructure that forms the backbone of economies.
With over a decade of experience in telecommunications infrastructure, we continue to reinvent ourselves to remain relevant in this dynamic digital era. The burgeoning demand for IoT devices has been driving the push to 5G that will support complex connectivity requirements.
By extending our expertise in network infrastructure, the Activ Smart Tower operates on a mesh network architecture that supports long range 5G network deployment, paving the way for improved connectivity, significantly faster data speeds, and reliable, low latency communications in the near future.
As an industry player, what does Activ Technology think of the future of Smart Cities?
Rapid developments in wireless communications technology and the increasing push for Smart Cities have fostered a climate ripe for innovative advances in the field of IoT and Artificial Intelligence. Hence, we can expect to see an increase in IoT and autonomous technology offerings in the near future.
The rate of adoption of such new technology, however, will depend on the availability of network infrastructure and the technology literacy of citizens. As a result, there will be increased collaboration and participation amongst key stakeholders (the government, businesses, and city dwellers) to make a Smart City successful.
