South Korean companies are seeking to explore Asian markets for B2B solutions. Aiming to help South Korean companies reach new markets within the Asia-Pacific region, the National IT industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) has brought 30 companies to exhibit their solutions at ConnecTechAsia earlier this year. Yun Jungsub, Deputy Director of NIPA’s software industry promotion department and regional software innovation team, told TechBytes that the companies offer a mix of products such as IoT solutions and other B2B products. Aside from ConnecTechAsia, NIPA will be bringing Korean companies to shows in Vietnam, Germany and China this year, said Mr Yun.
One of the exhibitors under NIPA is Pharos. Its CEO Park Jin Soo, told us that they signed a number of MOUs, including one with Nanyang Technological University’s Energy Research Institute in Singapore, and a company in India. On the other hand, Gamsung Co is looking for distributors in the region for its Intelligent Air Purifiers which are ideal for hospitals and educational facilities. Meanwhile, Narae ICT, an ICT total solution company is eyeing markets in Malaysia, Singapore, and India. The company’s CIO, Steven Jung said they want to focus on these markets because of the countries’ big populations.
