Time & Session Topic
12.00pm High Performance Lightweight BUCs/SSPAs for Mobility, Maritime and More
Mission Microwave solid-state products are widely deployed in commercial and government SATCOM terminals for mobile, maritime and mission critical satellite networks. This session will cover the background of the company’s products that improve RF performance and reliability with a 60% reduction in size, weight, and power versus traditional RF amplifiers.
Steve Richeson, VP sales & Marketing, Mission MIcrowave
12.30pm Automating the Teleport
Teleports today are much more than the RF gateways they used to be. Teleport operators build complex infrastructure using satellite and fiber communications, IP switch fabrics, virtualized data center infrastructures, and much more.
With all of that comes the need for end-to-end automation. Without a high degree of automation, it is not only very hard for teleport operators to keep service quality up in this highly dynamic and complex environment, equally well should operational cost be managed, and the installed infrastructure be utilized to the maximum extend. In some cases, using public cloud further increases the need for advanced automation.
In this session, automation of different aspects of the teleport operations will be illustrated with real implementation use cases.
Steven Soenens, Vice President, Product Marketing, Skyline Communications
1.00pm Big Data Goes Satellite, Principle Attributes Required for Success
This presentation explores important industry themes and explanations on why satellite communications is and will remain a key solution for the delivery of critical data to/from distant storage and computing facilities for industries such as oil & gas, cruise and commercial shipping.
Andrew Lucas, SVP, Satellite Operators & Mobility, Comtech EF Data
1.30pm Delivering Predictive Maintenance with AI and IoT
Watch how Zinier lets you tap into the power of IoT to deliver touchless field service. In this demonstration, a drone operated by the Zinier app scans an asset for signs of potential issues, then takes immediate action based on its findings.
Anish Kumar, Head of Engineering – Mobile & IOT, Zinier
